TRAINING Experience and PHILOSOPHY
At The PROJCT everyone is referred to and treated like an athlete. Our mission is to provide the best training experience possible for all our athletes and create an environment and culture where everyone, no mater their age, gender or ability, is treated with respect and feels confident and supported to make progress.
We focus on Progress Over Perfection. Building sustainable habits and consistency in our athletes training so they can achieve what they have set out to do. We want to shift our athletes perspective to challenge what they think is possible in their training and lifestyle and show them how the training they are doing, will impact the rest of their lives. Viewing their wellness journey, or any area of life, as a series of projects, working to improve upon or create something new. We hope that by changing their perspective we can inspire them to expand the limits of their thinking so that they may expand the limits of their life and accomplish great things.
We don’t just give exercises, we coach our athletes HOW to exercise, so they may create lasting change in their body and lifestyle. Great coaching is in the details. It’s the in between of counting and motivating. Explaining why we’re doing an exercise, the importance of it and how that will help them reach their goals.
We focus on teaching the proper foundations and fundamentals of training, utilizing appropriate exercises and intensities to match current fitness levels, so our athletes can create ownership and build strength and confidence in the gym. Not using gimmicky exercises for the sake of variation but focusing on movements and exercises that will drive adaptation.
The most important thing is that we have fun and enjoy the process. Our training should challenge our athletes but also make them want to come back for more. The message isn’t about how many calories we burn, kicking their ass or being sore for a week. That may happen, but in the end it’s about making progress and getting better one day at a time and enjoying the journey.
